Introduction to Screenwriting
To kick us off, the incredible Michelle Muldoon will be hosting her Introduction to Screenwriting workshop on Sunday September 15th. Julie had the great opportunity to work with Michelle on her short film: Last Stand to Nowhere, which toured the world and garnered more awards than we have room for on this webpage. Michelle is a gifted screenwriter, fundraiser and producer of commercially successful content that actors love to play, and fans love to support. We are so honoured and delighted to bring her wisdom and experience to the White Rock Community through this accessible, inspiring, enriching workshop.
A workshop for anyone who has ever wanted to write a script: actors who want to create their own material, and writers who dream of bringing their stories to the screen!Join screenwriter Michelle Muldoon for a day of practical tools and tips for the budding screenwriter. Stock your toolbox with the components of story structure, character introduction, dialogue, and scene direction. Learn why the details of the film you love were found on the page thanks to the screenwriter. Come ready to learn, share, participate and write in a day filled with instruction, produced screenplay examples, and writing exercises. This is a participatory workshop.
"Michelle’s style is practical, to the point, and current. I can say I learned more about screenwriting in two days than a year in film school." — C. M. Sampang: Writer
"This is a super fun and inclusive course – I recommend it! Even if you don’t think you’re a screenwriter, it’s a fun and supportive environment to see what you can come up with." — H.
